Actor Srikanth was arrested by the Chennai police in connection with a cocaine-related case.
His name reportedly surfaced during the interrogation of T. Prasad, who was arrested earlier in a drug trafficking case.
Police recovered cocaine from Srikanth’s residence, and medical tests reportedly confirmed the presence of narcotic substances in his blood. He has been remanded to judicial custody until July 7, 2025.
Sources claim that Srikanth allegedly purchased cocaine around 40 times, paying Rs 12,000 per gram, with police discovering incriminating transactions worth Rs 4.72 lakh on his mobile phone via Google Pay.
Police are actively probing the involvement of other individuals, including another Kollywood actor whose identity has not been revealed, and potentially actor Krishna, whose name also surfaced during Prasad’s confession.
