Film actor-director Surya Kiran passed away on Monday due to jaundice in Chennai.
Originally hailing for Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram, Surya was born in Chennai. His career as an actor began early.
His first acting debut as a child actor was in the 1978 movie ‘Snehikkhan Oru Pennu’. Surya featured in over 200 Tamil and Telugu movies under the alias “Master Suresh” at that time.
Some of his films as a child actor include ‘Kadal Meengal’ in 1981, ‘Mangamma Sabadham’ in 1985, 1987 film ‘Manithan’, 1987 movie ‘Swayam Krushi’ and the 1987 film ‘Khaidi No 786’.
surya made his debut as a director in Tollywood movies with the romantic drama ‘Satyam’. Starring Sumanth and Genelia Deshmukh.
