The health condition of DMDK president Vijayakanth, who was admitted to hospital after testing positive for Covid-19, is said to be stable. Sources said he is responding well and is under constant observation of doctors.
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Deputy CM O Panneerselvam, DMK president M K Stalin, superstar Rajinikanth and a lot of personalities of Tamil Nadu politics and Tamil film personalities wished speedy recovery of Vijayakanth.
Palaniswami said, soon after hearing the news that Vijayakanth was admitted to a hospital, he spoke to his wife and DMDK treasurer Premalatha over phone and enquired about his health condition.
The CM also said he pray the Almighty for his speedy recovery.
Rajinikanth spoke to Vijayakanth’s brother-in-law L K Sudheesh over phone. Tamil Maanila Congress president G K Vasan said in a statement that he prayed for the speedy recovery of Vijayakanth.
A bulletin from MIOT Hospital said, “Mr A Vijayakanth tested positive for COVID-19 on September 22. He is completely stable and admitted to MIOT HOspital. He is expected to make a full recovery and should be ready for discharge soon.”
