‘The Door’

 Review

An ancient temple is demolished for the construction of a new apartment complex designed by architect Bhavana.
A few hours after the temple is demolished, Bhavana’s father dies in an accident.
When Bhavana resumes her work after a few months, some supernatural incidents occur around her.
When Bhavana tries to find out about the supernatural occurings, the people she meets die.
What is the connection between their deaths and Bhavana? What is the background of the supernatural that is following her? That is the core plot of the story of the film.
Although it starts as a typical horror story, director Jaiiddev has delivered the movie with a gripping screenplay in an interesting way that makes it feel like reading a crime novel.
Bhavana, who has made a re-entry into Tamil cinema after a long gap, has acted in a movie based on female lead story.
Although there is less horror in Bhavana’s journey as she tries to unravel the knots of the mysterious incidents happening around her, the unexpected twists and turns keep the film moving interestingly.
It is a regular job for Ganesh Venkatraman, who plays the police officer. Along with them, Jayaprakash, Sriranjani, Nandakumar along with the rest of the supporting cast have done their job well.
Gautham.G’s cinematography has captured the landscape of Kodaikanal in a beautiful manner.
Music composer Varun Unni’s background music is terrifying in some scenes and aids in taking thr movie forward.
Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are good as well.

Rating: 3.8/5
