Pambattam

– Review

Rani Mahadevi is ruling her kingdom in the pre-Independence era. At that time a soothsayer says that the queen will die of snakebite.

Queen Mahadevi orders all the snakes in the kingdom to be captured and killed. A snake escapes from it and kills her, and soothsayer says that the daughter of Rani Maha Devi is in the same danger.
Due to this they leave the kingdom. After that, the ghost of the queen is said to haunt the palace.
Jeevan, a police officer comes to investigate this, and what happened after that is the story of the film.
Directed by V C Vadivudaiyan, the movie is full of action, adventure and fantasy.
With a crisp running time of close to two hours, the movie has an interesting screenplay.
Jeevan has played two roles of the father and son. His scenes as a police officer have come out really well.
Jeevan aces the character and is seen in an intense role.
Mallika Sherawat who plays the role of queen has delivered a good performance.
Suman, Ritika Sen, Livingstone and Sakthi Saravanan who are playing the role of police officers have also given good performances as per the characters.
Music by Amreesh is good and elevates the scenes. Rest of the technical aspects are passable as well.

Rating: 3.5/5
