Bakasuran

– Review

Selvaraghavan is doing services in a temple but is also on a killing spree. Parallel to it, there is Natty, a former army major who makes videos on shocking crimes. He is shocked by the death of his niece.

The case is closed by the police as a suicide. However, when her phone is handed over to Natty, he learns about a shocking truth.
He starts his own investigation during which he uncovers several secrets.
What did Natty discover, how Selvaraghavan is connected to it forms the rest of the story.
Director Mohan G has made the movie based on some of the sex scandals that took place in Tamilnadu in the recent years.
He has tried to educate people about women getting trapped in such scandals. However, it becomes preachy after a point. Selvaraghavan has delivered an earnest performance.
He suits the role of a common man who wants to fight for a lost cause. Natty is effective in his role and owns the character.
Rest of the characters including Radha Ravi have all done their part well. Music by Sam C S compliments the mood of the movie well. Rest of the technical aspects are okay.

Rating: 3.5/5
