The latest is, the multifaceted personality has shared a video of her rendition of ‘Thenpandi Cheemayile’, a song from her father Kamal Haasan’s legendary film, ‘Nayakan’, helmed by Mani Ratnam.
Shruti added her modern touch to the song composed by maestro Ilayaraja, while playing the piano herself. The video has won many hearts and comments on social media.
Recently, Shruti released a socially responsible video in which she is talking about the importance of social distancing and asking people to do digital payments.
“A simple way to ensure Social Distancing is to use digital payments instead of cash. Switch to UPI and make all your payments easily,” says her script along with the video.
Shruti, who is spending her time by penning songs, also posted her song ‘In between place’. The multifaceted personality, who is seen playing piano while singing, wrote, “It really feels like we are all in some in between place! I wrote this song for something else going on in my life at the time but it resonates more than ever now… I miss playing with my lovely musicians so much!.”
