RJ Balaji is on the verge of completing his debut directorial venture ‘Mookuthi Amman’, which has Nayanthara in the lead role. The multifaceted personality says the movie will be an out and out ‘saami padam’.
“It will have all the elements that were there in the devotional films that we grew up watching. It will be a nostalgic trip, but there will also be a takeaway that is relevant,” says the ‘LKG’ hero.
The first look of the movie was released a couple of days ago and it went to become an instant hit. Nayanthara had decided to be on ‘viratham’ and not to consume non-vegetarian dishes till the shoot of the film gets completed.
She followed the same when she played Goddess Seetha in the Telugu film ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ which had Balakrishna in the lead role. Before commencing the movie’s shoot, she offered prayers at two renowned temples- Bhagavathi Amman temple in Kanyakumari and Murugan temple in Tiruchendhur.
Vignesh Shivan accompanied her on both occasions and pictures of the actress and the director at the temples went viral on the internet.
