At a time when ‘success meets’ are celebrated for films barely two days after their release, the success meet of ‘Asuran’ is being held only today, 100 days after the movie hit the screens and emerged a blockbuster.
Gone are the days when films ran for over 100 days. In this era where even one-week run is being considered as success, ‘Asuran’ has completed 100 days run in theatres and the success meet will be held only today.
Directed by Vetrimaaran with Dhanush playing the lead role, ‘Asuran’ produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu has Manju Warrier, Pasupathy, Ken Karunaas and Prakash Raj in key roles. Music is by G V Prakash Kumar, while cinematography was handled by Velraj.
The film is based on the novel ‘Vekkai’ by Poomani. ‘Asuran’ was released on 4 October 2019. Besides winning accolades from critics, the movie made huge collections in the box-office, despite Deepavali releases like Vijay’s ‘Bigil’ and Karthi-starrer ‘Kaithi’.
