15th May 1982, I lost my Biological Mother. 40 years been and still she is ruling me in my blood, veins and heart.

Shifting my sorrow from the loss of Mother, came the love for Leather.

In our lives, we come across many people who have really lifted us up at various stages of our life. We always forget them over years or do not thank them and make them feel comfortable by acknowledging their contribution in our life.

I decided to make this day of remembrance of my Biological Mother as a thanks giving day & remembrance day to many Mothers who were part of my life and helped me in shaping up the right way.

These are very brief lines, though i could write a book on each one of them, the interactions and lively, lovely moments, I had with them.

I am collecting all their photos to make an album and send it to everyone of them personally. My Guru in Leather and also for my article writing, is traveling and will do that on 22nd the shrardh of my Mother.

My Mother was Prema (full of love). Highly talented. A great cook, Homeopathy specialist, Home remedy medicine, vocalist, Harmonium, Sprain removing art, Hindi pandit when rarely people spoke Hindi in TN, A great Mother.

1. Viji Amma – My immediate Mother after my Mother’s death. She used to start from morning coffee to dinner and always with that smile on her face and strict eyes, taking care like her own son. She always wished my wellness even after realising that, I may prove too good for her Husband’s professional position. A true mother.

2. Dhanalakshmi Amma – Just hearing my voice as Amma, the first answer would be “nalla iruppa”. Always be well & good is the meaning.
She enjoyed all my antics and tantrums like my Mother. What she has done for me, is not repayable.

3. Radhu Akka – A fantastic cousin sister by relation, though not in real sense. She took care of me like a child during the hospital days at Vellore after my worst accident.

4. Manickavasagam Amma – Motivating Mother and always laughing at every statement of mine. Acted as though she is enjoying my every statement just to keep me on, as I had recently lost my Mother.

5. Balgees Amma – A special Mother who would make a special lemon drink always for me. Feeding me with Dosa and lunch with all fried items (my faves) understanding my taste. Special Mother.

6. Sampath Amma – Blessing God’s representative for me always. Her blessings were always mouthful and fruitful.

7. Sada Amma – My friends Mother always had a special attention and could reach me 200kms away, hearing about my illheath.

8. Lalitha Annie – What a lovely hand of care and affection. One person who would feed me even I reach her home in the middle of the night uninformed.
The love was in the food prepared. A person who understood my taste buds as my Mother. Words cannot describe her love for me.

9. My Sister Buvana – A super sister who took the role of Mother in supporting the family. Took good care of my other darling sister, brother and father so well not withstanding her own age. That is how, i could concentrate and grow in life.

10. Meera Akka – God sent personality. She donned the role of my saviour and Mother when it was definitely required. Not many would risk, what she did.

11. My MIL – Typical MIL who respects her SIL and does not talk much. Love for her daughter made her have special affection in heart for me, ended up in doing her last rites.

12. Prema Amma 2 – Unbelievably, name sake & hands of my Mother, who blessed me and guided me and who wished my well being always.

13. Sooda Perima – A great Perima who loved me so much. My voice could wake her up even in unconscious stage. Always witty and had a counter for my talk, to make it enjoyable.

14. Nalini Madame – I call her as my God Mother. Not only for me but, for the whole Group, she is the God Mother. A person who only knows wishing me and my family well, at all times.

She stood as a Mother for both of my sisters as their Sister, all through during their wedding.

15. Uma Chithi – She has been a great motivator and heartful of blessings from her, gives a very comfortable feeling.
Appreciates every good act and pats on my back.

16. MAR Amma – A very strange relationship of a Mother & Son. Suddenly, she will feel high heart beat and as though dyeing and just my visit and holding her hand used to make her comfortable and normal.

Even to go to a Hospital, she wanted my hand and support and guidance. Always wished me good. And who liked talking to me and my presence.

Over and above all of these Mothers is my wife. She has sacrificed everything for my sake. She is not only the Mother of my daughter but, also my Mother. She has stayed with me strong in all the tough times.

Jai Maa! Maa Shakti!
