The makers of ‘Ranabaali’ have announced the completion of filming for the upcoming period drama starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film is scheduled to release on October 16. Sankrityan previously worked with Vijay Deverakonda on ‘Taxiwaala’, released in 2018.
The story centres on the titular rebel, who takes on British colonial officer Sir Theodore Hector, played by Arnold Vosloo. The narrative is set against the backdrop of resistance to the exploitation of local resources and attempts to create a drought by disrupting food supplies.
Vosloo is widely known for appearing in ‘The Mummy’ and ‘The Mummy Returns’.
The production began in January 2025, while the film’s title was officially revealed in January 2026. Rashmika Mandanna completed her portions earlier this week.
Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar are producing the film under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
The technical team includes music composers Ajay-Atul, cinematographers Jishnu Bhattacharjee and Nirav Shah, editor Karthika Srinivas R, production designer Shivam Rao Nagasani, and action choreographers Yannick Ben, Andy Long Nguyen and Rabin Subbu.
