Telugu filmmaker announces a record-length title for his new mystery musical

Filmmaker Chandra Siddharth, known for exploring unusual subjects and emotionally driven stories, is returning with an experimental thriller carrying one of the most elaborate titles in Telugu cinema: ‘Ee Paata Korinavaaru Nemalipalem Nundi Rama, Jyotsna, Nandu, Murali, Kabir, Dhol Ravi Modalaguvaru’.

The film comes with the subtitle ‘A Forbidden Raga from a Forbidden Saga’. Its makers claim that the title is the longest in the history of Telugu cinema.

Chandra Siddharth is producing the project under the Filmotsav banner. The story has been written by filmmaker and writer Madan.

The movie introduces Harsha as its lead actor, while Ammayra Goswami, Sujana Reddy, Inaya Sultana, Ravi Varma, Anirudh Srivastav, Ashokvardhan, Rekha Nirosha, Sunny and Giri are among the other members of the cast.

Scheduled to release on September 18, the film has been described as a neuroscientific thriller with a mystery-musical format. Its story explores the relationship between music and the human brain, bringing together ideas involving sound therapy, brain mapping, memory and guilt.

The unusual title is closely tied to the film’s central mystery. According to Chandra Siddharth, a particular song is broadcast from a radio station every night at exactly 10.30 pm, with several residents of Nemalipalem repeatedly requesting it.

The filmmaker explained that the village mentioned in the title no longer exists, adding another layer of mystery to the story and providing the inspiration for its unusually long name.
