‘Choodalani Undhi’ director Gunasekhar has roped in Samantha for ‘Shaakuntalam’, one of his dream projects.
The fairy tale kind of movie will tell the love story of Shakuntala and Dushyantha. Gunasekhar is producing the movie on his home banner.
Neelima Guna is the producer. Gunasekhar was supposed to make this film after completing Rana Daggubati’s ‘Hiranyakashapa’. The pandemic has put the project on the backburner for now.
A motion poster was released to make the ‘big reveal’ about Samantha essaying the titular role.
