Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ clears censor formalities with a U/A Certificate

Ram Charan’s upcoming rustic sports action drama, ‘Peddi’, has smoothly crossed its final pre-release hurdle well ahead of schedule.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially cleared the highly anticipated biggie, awarding it a U/A certificate.

By completing the censorship formalities two weeks in advance, production house Vriddhi Cinemas has ensured a completely seamless global theatrical rollout, steering clear of any last-minute technical blockades.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has locked in a substantial, epic runtime of 3 hours and 2 minutes.

Initial reports from the censor screening indicate that the detailed screenplay uses this runtime effectively to build deep emotional arcs, village politics, and high-stakes mind games.

Ram Charan stars as a small-time jaggery factory worker in Vizianagaram whose intense passion for cricket eventually thrusts him onto an unfamiliar professional wrestling canvas.

Co-starring Janhvi Kapoor alongside a powerful cast including Shiva Rajkumar and Divyenndu, and featuring an atmospheric soundtrack by A.R. Rahman, Peddi is fully locked for massive global theatrical premieres starting the evening of June 3, 2026, followed by its full release on June 4.
