Ahead of the release of ‘Lenin’, actor Akhil Akkineni has spoken about the serious accident that forced him to stay away from films for an extended period.
During a promotional interview, Akhil revealed that he suffered a severe hand injury a few months after the release of ‘Agent’. According to the actor, he slipped in a bathroom and fell onto a piece of glass, causing significant damage to his left hand, including injuries to a vein and a nerve.
The accident required two surgeries, followed by a lengthy rehabilitation process lasting around 16 months. Akhil said he was unable to perform even basic physical training for several months and only gradually returned to regular workouts after completing his recovery.
His comments have surprised many fans, who had questioned the lengthy gap between his film releases without knowing the circumstances behind it.
