With the Tamil Nadu government allowing cinema halls to reopen from November 10, there was a buzz that Vijay’s long-pending ‘Master’ would hit the screens for Deepavali.
However, it has emerged that the film would be released in theatres only for Pongal 2021. “Though the government has announced theatres to resume operations, there are many restrictions. Hence, the film will be released for Pongal,” sources said.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of ‘Maanagaram’ and ‘Kaithi’ fame, ‘Master’ has Vijay Sethupathi playing the antagonist. Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Gauri Kishan, Arjun Das and Alagam Perumal will be seen in pivotal
characters.
Music is by Anirudh Ravichander and songs from the movie have already become chartbusters. That too, the ‘Kutty story…’ song sung by Vijay is already a huge hit.
