On-screen pals have turned off-screen rivals, so to speak. Soori has now accused Vishnu Vishal’s father and retired police officer Ramesh Kudawla and financier Anbuvel Rajan of cheating him of a sum of Rs 2.70 crore in a land deal.
He has filed a case against them with the police who are investigating it. In his complaint, Soori stated that he had signed a movie titled, ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’, with Vishnu Vishal playing lead in 2015.
When Soori asked for the salary which was long pending, the producer Anbuvel Rajan and Ramesh, instead of a monetary payment, proposed to give him land on Chennai outskirts for which the duo asked him to pay an amount of Rs 2.70 crore.
Even after Soori paid the amount, the duo are yet to register any land in his name. Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal has denied all the allegations.
“Obviously vested interests are working. Infact Mr. Suri has to refund Vishnu Vishal Studioz an advance paid to him in 2017 for a film kavarimaan parambarai which eventually was dropped.
We have complete faith in law and judiciary system. It may not be appropriate to elaborate further at this point in time and we will strictly go by what Law permits,” he said.
