The trailer of the much-awaited movie ‘Maamannan’ directed by Mari Selvaraja has been released.
The trailer opens with Vadivelu saying that “he will keep repeating the same story over and over again, in search of ears willing to hear the truth.”
Judging from the trailer, it’s safe to assume that ‘Maamannan’ examines the brute oppression perpetrated in the name of caste and the politics that enable such cruel practices to thrive. And the trailer promises powerful performances from its cast, including Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh.
Maamannan has music by Oscar-winner AR Rahman. The movie is due in cinemas on June 26.
