Chandramukhi makers send legal notice to Nayanthara

Nayanthara is currently embroiled in a series of issues following the release of her wedding documentary, ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’, on  Netflix.

The first controversy unfolded when actor Dhanush filed a lawsuit against Nayanthara, her husband and director Vignesh Shivan, and Netflix.

He accused them of using a few seconds of his copyrighted material (a clip from ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’) without permission and demanded Rs. 10 crore in compensation.

Nayanthara responded with a public statement, but Dhanush retaliated by escalating the matter legally. However, a new issue has recently emerged.

The documentary used a clip from Nayanthara’s earlier super hit film ‘Chandramukhi’, starring Superstar Rajinikanth and Jyothika, apparently without authorisation.

The producers of ‘Chandramukhi’ have reportedly sent a legal notice to Nayanthara and Netflix, seeking Rs. 5 crore in compensation for the illegal use of their content.
