Ashok Selvan and Shanthnu’s much-awaited sports drama film ‘Blue Star’ finally has a release date.
Helmed by debutant director S Jayakumar, the upcoming movie will hit the cinemas on January 25, coinciding with Republic Day weekend.
The makers of the film recently shared the update on social media. “The pitch is set. The teams are geared up. And the game is on #BlueStar is all set for its worldwide release, delivering in cinemas from 25th January #BlueStarFromJan25” (sic),” read the X (formerly, Twitter) post.
‘Blue Star’ marks the first collaboration between Ashok and Shanthnu. ‘Blue Star’ revolves around a spirited competition between two cricket teams, spearhaded by Ranjith and Rajesh (Ashok Selvan and Shanthnu).
However as political influences come into play, the game goes downhill, eventually turning into a socio-political issue.
