Full-fledged family entertainer

‘Viruman’

                           – Review

Karthi thinks that his father Prakash Raj is the reason for his mother’s suicide. At a young age, he vows to take revenge by killing his father.
During one such attempt, the Court gives custody of Karthi to his uncle. Though Karthi reforms into a better young man, he still continues to have his hatred for his father.
He makes use of every opportunity to teach his father a lesson. Though Karthi does not like his father much, he has strong affection towards his elder brothers.
The efforts that he takes to get close to his brothers and teach his father a lesson forms the rest of the story.
Director Muthaiah as usual has made the story with a mix of commercial, emotional and entertaining elements.
Though there are some predictable twists and turns, the proceedings are still engaging. Karthi plays the role of Viruman with ease. His performance is more than satisfying.
Be it the action sequences or the emotional scenes, Karthi leaves a mark. Aditi Shankar has made a confident debut with the flick. She has owned the character and is impressive.
Prakash Raj gets a strong role after a long time and has shown his versatility. Rest of the cast have also delivered what was expected from them.
Yuvan Shankar Raja’s BGM is electrifying. Selvakumar S K’s camera work gives a festival feel throughout.
