Film producer Dil Raju has publicly stated that undertaking the production of ‘Game Changer’, starring Ram Charan and directed by S. Shankar, was a “wrong step” in his career.

He expressed significant regret over the project due to a multitude of issues that plagued its production.

Dil Raju openly confessed that he had never worked with a director of Shankar’s stature before ‘Game Changer’.

He felt that he lost control over the production, leading to numerous delays and an inflated budget. The film’s shooting reportedly stretched for over two years.

Dil Raju confirmed an earlier statement by editor Shameer Mohammed that the first cut of the film had a staggering runtime of over seven hours, which had to be drastically trimmed down to three and a half hours.

‘Game Changer’ was made on a massive budget, reportedly around Rs 400 crores.

Despite the high investment, the film failed miserably at the box office, resulting in significant losses for Dil Raju. He himself admitted to losing close to Rs 100 crore.
