Legendary director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao has officially returned to the director’s chair at the age of 93.
The project, tentatively titled SSR61, was launched with a formal pooja ceremony on January 31.
This ambitious venture marks the veteran’s return to direction after a decade-long hiatus since his 2013 film Welcome Obama.
Produced by Nag Ashwin under the iconic Vyjayanthi Movies banner, the film is being described as the “most ambitious” project in Singeetam’s illustrious career.
Adding to the youthful energy of the project, Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) has been roped in to compose the music.
Filmmakers like S.S. Rajamouli have shared their excitement on social media, calling Singeetam a “master ahead of his time” and noting that his creative spirit remains a beacon for the younger generation.
