Actor Nithiin has announced his next project, ‘Alias Rukmini’, following his appearance in ‘Thammudu’. The film will be directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, known for ‘Dhandoraa’, while Deepthi Ganta is producing it. Actor Nani is presenting the project after backing the courtroom drama ‘Court: State vs Nobody’.
The makers introduced the film with a concept teaser featuring a conversation between Nani and director Murali Kanth. In the video, Nani asks the filmmaker to narrate the story, expecting to hear about a character named Krishna. Instead, the director showcases a series of romance novels written by an author named Rukmini, leaving Nani confused about the connection.
As Nani questions who Rukmini is, the teaser shifts to reveal Nithiin as Krishna, a mathematics teacher. The actor appears in an office setting and delivers a brief line identifying Rukmini as his wife, hinting at the central premise of the story.
‘Alias Rukmini’ was officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony earlier this week and is currently in the pre-production stage. The makers are yet to announce details about the film’s storyline and the remaining cast. The technical crew includes cinematographer Jomon T. John, editor Srujana Adusumilli and music composer Vijai Bulganin.
