In an interesting OTT development, Netflix India has acquired the digital streaming rights for Vishnu Vishal’s upcoming crime thriller ‘Aaryan’.
The announcement came via Vishnu Vishal Studioz’s official social media post, which read: “Tudum… and the hunt begins #Aaryan (Digital rights bagged by Netflix). See it first in theatres on October 31st!”

While Netflix holds the post-theatrical digital rights, the makers have confirmed that Aaryan will still debut in cinemas on October 31, 2025.

This kind of arrangement reflects the evolving distribution model in Indian cinema — giving films a theatrical window before unlocking the digital audience.

The project is being touted as a spiritual follow-up to Ratsasan, the acclaimed psychological thriller in which Vishnu Vishal portrayed a cop chasing a serial killer.

In ‘Aaryan’, he again essays the role of a police officer matching wits with a cunning criminal, with the teaser hinting that the antagonist “breaks all conventional psychological patterns.”
