With Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming film ‘Lenin’ hitting the screens, veteran actor Nagarjuna has appealed to audiences and the media to avoid comparing his son with either himself or legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR).
Speaking ahead of the film’s release, Nagarjuna said comparisons based on family background often create unnecessary pressure for young actors.
He recalled facing similar expectations during the early stages of his own career and believes every actor deserves the opportunity to establish an individual identity.
He added that Akhil has always carried the weight of the family’s legacy and requested that his journey be viewed independently rather than measured against previous generations.
