The makers of ‘Haindava’, featuring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas in the lead role, released the film’s teaser on Wednesday, offering a glimpse into its mysterious and action-packed storyline. Directed by newcomer Ludheer Byreddy and produced by Mahesh Chandu under the Moonshine Pictures banner, the film is being presented as a thriller. Sreenivas was last seen in ‘Kishkindhapuri’, another thriller that arrived in theatres in September last year.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 27, with production nearing completion and post-production activities progressing in parallel. The teaser launch also marks the beginning of the promotional campaign, introducing audiences to the film’s distinctive mix of suspense, mysticism and devotional themes.
Set in the fictional village of Rangapuram, the story revolves around a series of disturbing events following the disappearance of idols from an ancient temple and the murder of a villager. The temple priest believes the missing idols will return within a specific period, adding a supernatural dimension to the investigation. An atheist police officer takes charge of the case, setting up a compelling conflict between rational thinking, religious faith and unexplained occurrences.
Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas portrays the police officer, a man who places his faith in humanity rather than God. Samyuktha plays the female lead, while Mahesh Manjrekar appears as the temple priest. The supporting cast includes Saurabh Sachdeva, JD Chakravarthy, Shivaji Raja and Getup Srinu in important roles.
The film’s technical team includes Siva Kamesh D, who has designed the mystical world surrounding its occult elements, and cinematographer Harish Kannan. Sam CS is composing the soundtrack, while Karthika Srinivas R is handling the editing. With its intriguing premise and supernatural undertones, ‘Haindava’ is gearing up to reach theatres on November 27.
