Filmmaker Hemanth Madhukar has expressed support for Sai Pallavi’s casting as Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film ‘Ramayana’, amid ongoing discussions on social media.
Responding to criticism surrounding the casting, Hemanth praised Sai Pallavi’s acting ability, describing her as one of the strongest performers in Indian cinema. He said the decision ultimately rests with the director, who is responsible for selecting the actor best suited for the role.
He also dismissed suggestions that appearance alone should determine the casting of Sita, arguing that the character demands emotional depth and strong acting skills, particularly during key moments of the story.
Hemanth pointed to several acclaimed actresses who have portrayed Sita in earlier films, emphasizing that memorable performances have always depended on talent rather than physical appearance.
He added that Sai Pallavi should not be distracted by online criticism and believes her performance will be judged once the film reaches audiences.
