‘Donga Naa Koduku’ teaser promises crime, comedy and chaos as Mouli Tanuj Prasanth targets November release
The makers of Telugu crime comedy ‘Donga Naa Koduku’ have unveiled the film’s teaser, offering audiences a glimpse of a quirky protagonist, humorous situations and a storyline involving robbery. Headlined by Mouli Tanuj Prasanth, the film is directed by debutant Sreenu Kambala and is scheduled to reach theatres on November 13.
Production house Mythri Movie Makers shared the teaser on social media, introducing the film with a playful promotional message that hints at the comic trouble awaiting audiences. The project combines crime-related elements with situational humour, placing its central character at the heart of the chaos.
Mouli plays Eeshwar, a B.Tech dropout whose life involves money-conscious parents, a close friend and a girlfriend. Despite these relationships, he has an unconventional wish: in his next life, he wants to be free of everyone and have only money.
That unusual outlook sets the stage for a series of comedic situations as robbery and criminal activity enter the narrative. The teaser offers glimpses of the protagonist’s eccentric worldview, an amusing powder-related sequence and a light-hearted exchange with his girlfriend over tiffin at the beach.
The promotional footage suggests that humour will be a major part of the film’s appeal, with Eeshwar’s attitude and unpredictable behaviour driving many of the comic moments.
Following the response to his performance in ‘Little Hearts’, Mouli returns with another role that gives him room to showcase his comic timing. Sushmitha Shetty plays his girlfriend, while Ali and Rajitha appear as his parents. Raghubabu, Priya and Gundu Sudharshan are also part of the cast.
Director Sreenu Kambala appears to have built the story around the lead character’s peculiar personality and the situations that unfold as his desire for wealth leads him towards crime. The teaser balances the robbery angle with lighter exchanges, including the closing beachside tiffin scene.
The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, with Anil Yerneni serving as co-producer. Suriya Balaji handles cinematography, while Sinjith Yerramilli has composed the music. Sreedhar Sompally is responsible for editing, and Nagendra Guvvala oversees production design.
With its mix of offbeat characterisation, crime-driven complications and comedy, ‘Donga Naa Koduku’ is positioning itself as a light-hearted entertainer. The November 13 theatrical release will reveal how the film develops the premise introduced in its teaser.
