The release of actress Anupama Parameswaran’s thriller film, ‘Lockdown’, has been indefinitely postponed, marking the second such delay within a month.
The social-emotional film, directed by AR Jeeva and centered on events during the COVID-19 pandemic, was originally slated for a December 5th release.
This date was first pushed to December 12th due to the heavy rains and cyclone impact that lashed Tamil Nadu, with makers citing “fan safety as a top priority.”
However, Lyca Productions, the film’s producer, announced another postponement, stating, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the release of our film Lockdown has been postponed to a future date… We are committed to ensuring that the film reaches you under the best possible conditions.”
The constant delays have left fans of the U/A-certified, female-centric film highly disappointed.
