It has emerged that Raghava Lawrence’s Bollywood debut, Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ has been renamed ‘Laxmii’, following the suggestion of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Reports claimed that the makers of the movie had received a legal notice from the Rajasthan-based outfit, Shri Rajput Karni Sena, claiming that the title ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ was demeaning towards Goddess Lakshmi, adding that the title insulted sentiments.
“Hence, following a suggestion from Censor Board officials, the title has been changed to ‘Laxmii’. The film will be released soon,” sources said.
Meanwhile, Raghava Lawrence celebrated his 44th birthday recently and to mark the special occasion, the director-actor unveiled the title look of his upcoming film ‘Rudhran’, produced by Kathiresan.
“Hi friends and fans, Here is my next film title look. Happy to release it on my birthday. I need all your blessings @gvprakash @5starcreationss,” he tweeted.
