Producer KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green has confirmed that director Vetrimaaran will be reuniting with Dhanush for the fifth time for a movie based on the Kolar gold mines.
In a recent interview, Gnanavel noted that the filmmaker was working on the story set against the KGF backdrop while discussing his upcoming movie Thangalaan.
“Vetrimaaran sir is now working on a film based on KGF with Dhanush in the lead. And he will do a film based on his research and findings about its history. And Pa Ranjith has done Thangalaan based on the research he did on the subject,” Gnanavel said.
However, Gnanavel did not reveal any information about the project’s timeline or whether he will be bankrolling the movie.
Vetrimaaran is now basking in the success of ‘Viduthalai Part 1’ and Dhanush is busy shooting for ‘Captain Miller’.
