Directed by Vettrimaaran, the movie has Soori playing the main role.

The shooting of the movie commenced in April 2021 at the Sathyamangalam reserve forest. Shooting for the movie was wrapped up recently.

The team had recently commenced dubbing works for the movie. The dubbing began with the auspicious pooja during which Vijay Sethupathi and Vettriamaran took part.

Music for the movie is by Ilayaraja. The flick will be released in five languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. ‘Viduthalai’ is adapted from Jeyamohan’s acclaimed short story ‘Thunaivan’.

The project is bankrolled by Elred Kumar’s banner RS Infotainment.
