The arrival of the Lok Sabha election in Tamil Nadu has delayed the release of some of the most expected movies in Kollywood. However, there are few movies who see this as an opportunity to get more screens and bring in more footfalls. Let us take a look at some of the movies that are slated to be released this month.
‘Kalvan’:
Directed by PV Shankar, the movie has GV Prakash Kumar and Ivana in the lead roles. Bharathiraja plays an important character in the movie. The Rural Entertainer is about an elephant’s unexpected entry into a village and the problems faced by the people because of it. The movie is slated to release on 4 April
‘Aranmanai 4’:
Sundar C’s directorial ‘Aranmanai 4’ is slated to be released on 11 April. The trailer for the film has been unveiled by the makers recently. Sundar C himself plays the lead role as well, and the film has Tamannaah and Raashi Khanna playing the female leads. Hiphop Tamizha Adhi scored the music for the horror comedy.
‘Romeo’:
Directed by Vinayak Vaithianathan, ‘Romeo’ features Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi in the main roles. The movie is slated to be released on 11 April. Star cast of the movie also includes Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Ilavarasu, Thalaivasal Vijay, Sudha, and Sreeja Ravi, among others. The trailer which was released recently has increased expectations for the film. Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi play husband and wife, and the film is said to be loaded with twists and turns.
‘Inga Naan Thaan Kingu’:
Santhanam is all set for his second release of 2024 with ‘Inga Naan Thaan Kingu’. Directed by Anand, the movie features Bala Saravanan, Manobala, and Thambi Ramaiah. Music for the movie is by D Imman. Promotions for ‘Inga Naan Thaan Kingu’ are expected to begin soon. The movie is slated to be released on 14 April.
‘Rathnam’:
Vishal has teamed up with director Hari for the third time for ‘Rathnam’. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead. Samuthirakani, Gautham Menon, Yogi Babu, and Murali Sharma play supporting roles in the film which has music scored by Devi Sri Prasad. The movie is likely to be released on 26 April.
