For Samantha’s birthday on Tuesday (April 28), Tamannah did a nice gesture by launching a common display picture (CDP). This act of her has delighted the fans of Samantha.
Releasing the poster, Tamannah posted: “On an exceptionally special occasion, I’d like to reveal #SamanthaBirthdayCDP. The way she has driven her career is something I look up to. A beauty with brains, super stylish, a people’s person & an extremely diligent & talented actress!I’m Lucky to know her.”
And, Samantha promptly replied: “Thankyou so much .. you’re such a darling .. such kind words .. love ya babe.” The tagline on the CDP read ‘Happy Birthday Thalaivi Samantha’ and it grabbed many eyeballs in Kollywood and Tollywood.
Samantha’s husband and Tollywood star Naga Chaitanya made the occasion very special by baking a cake at home. He looked up the recipe online and baked what looked like a chocolate cake from scratch.
While pursuing a degree in commerce, Samantha worked part-time on modelling assignments. She soon received offers for film roles, and made her acting debut in Gautham Menon’s critically acclaimed Telugu romance film, ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ (2010), which fetched her the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress and a Nandi Award.
Samantha then became the second actress ever to win both the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress and the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress in the same year, for her performances in the films ‘Neethaane En Ponvasantham’ (2012) and ‘Eega’ (2012). Since then, she has primarily opted to appear in the leading female role in hero-centric Telugu and Tamil films, earning box office success.
