Filmmaker T.J. Gnanavel, who directed the critically acclaimed ‘Jai Bhim’ and Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Vettaiyan’, is set to create a biopic titled ‘Dosa King’.
The film will feature Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the lead role, portraying the life of P. Rajagopal, the founder of the global Saravana Bhavan restaurant chain.
Known as the ‘Dosa King,’ Rajagopal was a self-made businessman who built a worldwide empire before his life took a turn.
The film will explore his life story, including his rise to prominence and his later conviction as a murderer. The script is being co-written by acclaimed director Hemanth Rao, adding to the project’s high expectations.
