Suriya’s recent release ‘Jai Bhim’, was based on the struggles of Parvathy Ammal, wife of Rajakannu.
Now the actor has said that he will open a fixed deposit of Rs 10 lakh in the name of Parvati Ammal.
‘The interest accrued for the FD will be handed over to Parvati Ammal every month. It will be ensured that the amount goes to her children after her death,’ Suriya said.
It may be noted that the actor had earlier donated Rs one crore for the betterment of the Irula community.
‘Jai Bhim’ directed by T S Gnanavel revolves around the death of Rajakannu in police custody. The movie has managed to impress everyone across the country.
