Netflix has announced that ‘Retro’ starring Suriya in the lead role will stream on its OTT platform from 31 May.
‘Retro’ is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, marking his collaboration with Surya for the first time.
The film also features actors Pooja Hegde, Joju George, Jayaram, Karunas, Nasser, and others in important roles.
‘Retro’ revolves around Paari Vel who is an adopted son of a gangster who detests him. After choosing to leave the violent ways in the past in order to marry his lover, Paari gets pulled into his old ways, making him the chosen one to protect his ancestors who now live in an island tormented by a dictator.
The film is produced by Suriya and Jyotika under 2D Entertainment and has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
