The makers of ‘Soodhu Kavvum 2’ have confirmed that the film has cleared the censor board formalities and secured a U/A certificate.
Directed by SJ Arjun, the comedy-drama stars Shiva in the lead role, with Karunakaran reprising his iconic character from the original film.
The ensemble cast includes Harisha, Radha Ravi, MS Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Ramesh Thilak, Aruldoss, Kalki, and Kavi, adding depth to the sequel’s narrative.
The recently released trailer gives audiences a glimpse into the film’s plot, which draws parallels with the original ‘Soodhu Kavvum’.
Karunakaran’s Arumai Pragasam is now the Finance Minister, while Shiva steps into the shoes of a disciplined kidnapper, reminiscent of Vijay Sethupathi’s role in the 2013 cult classic.
The technical crew of Soodhu Kavvum 2 includes music composer Edwin Louis Viswanath, cinematographer Karthik K Thillai, and editor Ignatious Aswin.
