The reason cited for this unexpected pause is the unavailability of Malayalam actor Mohanlal’s dates.
The film is reportedly a poignant father-son drama, and the makers are said to be keen on casting Mohanlal in the crucial role of Sivakarthikeyan’s father, believing him to be the ideal choice.

Amidst this reported delay, sources suggest that Sivakarthikeyan might now proceed with Venkat Prabhu’s project, moving it up in his schedule.
