Actor Santhanam is pushing his creative boundaries with his next project—a time-loop based thriller.
Directed by Sudhaman Krishna, the film marks a significant departure from Santhanam’s traditional slapstick comedy roles, though humor is expected to be woven into the sci-fi narrative.
The project officially went on floors with a pooja ceremony on March 6, with the team releasing a video to mark the start of shooting.
The film features an ensemble cast including Gopika Ramesh, Redin Kingsley, and George Maryan, with a musical score by Nivas K. Prasanna.
Santhanam described the project as a “brain-teasing entertainer” that will keep audiences guessing through its complex narrative structure.
The project is being bankrolled by K7 Studios and Venus Infotainment, banners that are looking to diversify their content with this experimental genre.
While Santhanam is returning to comedy in Silambarasan’s STR49, this thriller is being positioned as a “must-watch” for fans who want to see him in a more serious, intellectual role.
