Samuthirakani plays the lead role in the movie ‘Vellai Yaanai’ directed by Subramaniam Siva of ‘Thiruda Thirudi’ fame.
The movie is said to be an agriculture based script and talks about the issues faced by farmers.
S Vinodh Kumar is producing Vellai Yaanai under his Mini Studios banner, while Santhosh Narayanan is composing music for the film.
It is said that the movie will be released directly on Sun TV. The movie will be premiered on 11 July at 3 pm. The film will then be made available to stream on the channel’s OTT platform.
Interestingly, before the decision to release the movie on Sun TV, the film’s distribution rights were auctioned and many distributors competed with each other to bag the rights.
Journalist Kodangi has mentioned this in a social media post and also said many journalists have acted in the movie. He wished the team all success.
