With only a month left for the release of ‘Amaran’, starring actor Sivakarthikeyan, the makers unveiled a glimpse of actor Sai Pallavi, who plays the female lead in the film, on social media on Friday. ‘Amaran’ is set to hit theatres on October 31.
‘Amaran’ is a biopic of Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Indian Army’s Rajput Regiment.
He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his operation with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion.
Sivakarthikeyan will be essaying the main lead in the film, marking the first biopic project in his career.
The glimpse begins with the actual footage of Indhu Rebecca Varghese, the widow of Major Mukundan Vardarajan, as it slowly transitions into Sai Pallavi who is playing the character.
The glimpse also ends with Indhu saying she is in a long-distance relationship with her love, as we see the widow reminiscing her memories with her late partner.
Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, the film is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International. Rahul Bose and Lallu are also part of the cast.
