Superstar Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj have joined forces for the action drama ‘Coolie’.
Lokesh already made it clear that Coolie is a standalone film and is not part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
Till now, 70% of the shoot has been completed, and a new schedule is set to begin in the second week of January.
Initially, makers planned to release ‘Coolie’on May 1. However, that date has now been taken by Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj’s ‘Retro’.
Also, ‘Coolie’ team will require more time to complete the post-production work. According to the latest buzz, the makers of this Rajini starrer are eyeing August 14 as the release date.
An official clarification is yet to come from Sun Pictures. ‘Coolie’ also stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir in key roles.Aamir Khan is said to be playing a cameo. Anirudh is the music composer.
