The actor has been keen on collaborating with promising, relatively new filmmakers, especially in the last few years.
However, the rumor mills suggest that the veteran actor is now set to reunite with ‘Thalapathi’ director Mani Ratnam, after a long gap of 33 years.
As per the reports, the legendary actor-director duo is set to drop the big update, soon.
According to rumor mills, Rajinikanth is planning to team up with Mani Ratnam for his upcoming 173rd project.
If things go as planned, the actor-director duo might officially announce their collaboration for Thalaivar 173, mostly on 12 December 2024, on the special occasion of the veteran actor’s 74th birthday.
AR Rahman is reportedly confirmed to be a part of the project. However, these reports are not officially confirmed, yet.
