In a crucial step towards starting his political party, superstar Rajinikanth has called for a meeting of district heads of Rajini Makkal Mandram.
The meeting, which will see participation of district satraps of RMM from across Tamil Nadu, will be held at Sri Raghavendra Thirumana Mandapam at Kodambakkam in Chennai on Thursday (March 5).
According to sources, various important things related to politics and party are set to be discussed at the meet. Thursday’s meeting comes days after Rajinikanth met leaders from the Muslim community and promised to play an active role to help peace return in CAA, NCR and NPR issues.
A day after Haj Association leader Abu Backer met Rajinikanth at his Poes Garden residence, representatives of the Tamil Nadu Jamatul Ulama Sabai met the actor on Sunday and explained their fears over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, National Register of Citizens (NCR) and National Population Register (NPR).
K M Baqavi, TNJUS President, said Rajinikanth assured the delegation that he would do the needful. Rajinikanth, who is set to float his political party soon, had earlier said he would be the first person to raise voice even if a single Muslim was affected by the CAA.
