Many film celebrities including superstar Rajinikanth have condoled the death of filmmaker K V Anand who passed away this morning.
In a Tamil tweet, Rajinikanth said he was deeply saddened by the death of Anand. Dhanush, Suriya, Venkat Prabhu, D Imman and others have also expressed condolences.
Anand today passed away at the age of 53. Sources said that he passed away affer suffering a cardiac arrest.
Anand, who has directed films like ‘Ayan’, ‘Ko’, ‘Maattraan’, ‘Anegan’ and ‘Kaappaan’, won the National Award for Best Cinematography in 1995.
He turned film director with the critically acclaimed movie ‘Kanaa Kandaen’ released in 2005. He started his career as a photo journalist.
