Tamil cinema has often tackled the theme of terrorism, blending action, emotion, and patriotism. These films not only showcase the courage and sacrifice of individuals fighting to protect the nation, but also delve into the psychological, political, and social consequences of terror. With India’s recent Operation Sindhoor against terrorists, lets us take a look at some of iconic Tamil movies which spoke about terrorism.

‘Amaran’ (2024):

‘Amaran’, starring Sivakarthikeyan, is inspired by the real-life heroism of Major Mukund Varadarajan, an army officer martyred during anti-terror operations in Kashmir. The film is a tribute to bravery, capturing both the intense battlefield moments and the emotional toll on soldiers. ‘Thuppakki’ (2012):
