A phone call was made to the Greater Chennai Police’s control room on Thursday, threatening that a bomb would explode in the Poes Garden residence of superstar Rajinikanth.
Following this, the police along with sniffer dogs immediately reached the actorβs house. After searching the entire place found out that it was a hoax call. A hunt is on to trace the caller.
Rajinikanth fans took to social media to condemn the act and some of them alleged that it was a political plot. Meanwhile on the work front, Rajinikanth was busy shooting for ‘Annaatthe’ directed by Siva, when the Covid-19 induced lockdown brought the film’s shoot to a halt.
In the meantime, there is a buzz that Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj would join hands for ‘Petta 2’, sequel to their 2019 blockbuster ‘Petta’. In an interview, Karthik Subbaraj said, “Fans message us with their ideas of ‘Petta 2’ on social-media platforms, which were all quite interesting. Some even came forward with theories of possibles stories for ‘Petta 2’. As of now, I wouldn’t say that I have a story of Petta 2. But it could happen in future.”
