Actor-filmmaker R Parthiepan has denied media reports which claimed that he would play one of the two leads in the Tamil remake of Malayalam movie ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’.
Reacting to reports that Parthiepan and Karthi would be playing Biju Menon and Prithviraj’s roles, respectively, in the Tamil remake, the ‘Pudhumaipithan’ and ‘Kudaikkul Mazhai’ actor said: “It would be great if the news is true. But so far, everyone talked about this project to me except the film’s producer Kathiresan. So…”
It may be recalled that Karthi and Parthiepan had earlier worked together in ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ directed by Selvaraghavan. ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ is a 2020 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film written and directed by Sachy.
It was produced by Ranjith and P M.Sasidharan under Gold Coin Motion Picture Company. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the title roles. The story revolves around the conflict between Koshy Kurien, an influential and wealthy ex-Havildar and Ayyappan Nair, a Sub-inspector in Attappadi. The music was provided by Jakes Bejoy.
